The original Waynes Green Tomato Relish started over 40 years ago as a clever way for Wayne to use up the unripened (ie.  Green)  tomatoes that remained in his garden every fall.  People liked it so much, that he decided to enter it into the Macon County Fair (Macon County, IL).  There it garnered a first prize blue ribbon (hence the "award winning" part of our moniker).  The relish is delicious on grilled and spicy foods, such as:  jerk marinated chicken, polish & Italian sausages, burgers, brats, etc.  Its also really good as an appetizer (serve it plain on a cracker or mix with a little cream cheese before cracker application).    Not ones to rest on our laurels, we continue to work on new products.  All our products start with the original, award winning recipe, and add a little this (and a dash of  that) to come up with some great new tastes.  Please refer to the recipe page for more serving suggestions.
